Common task · estimated 1 business day
Need a Shopify app installed — without it fighting your theme?
“One-click install” is the promise. The reality is embed blocks that don’t show up, styling that clashes, and code from the old app still loading underneath. I’ll set it up properly.
Scope-based proposal first — you approve and pay, then work starts.
App Install & Configuration
One app from the Shopify App Store, installed and configured to do the thing you actually bought it for.
What’s included
- Install one App Store app and configure it to your stated goal
- Resolve theme conflicts the app causes
- Remove leftover code from a replaced app if you’re swapping
- Confirm it works on the live theme preview
Not included
- The app’s own subscription cost
- Custom development on top of the app
- More than one app — each additional app is its own task
Why this is a task at all
What “one-click install” leaves behind
Most Shopify apps do two things when you install them: they add their own settings, and they touch your theme — an embed block, a snippet, sometimes a whole section. That second part is where stores get into trouble. The app’s widget renders in the wrong place, its styles argue with your theme’s, or it works on desktop and vanishes on mobile.
And when you uninstall an app, its theme code doesn’t necessarily leave with it. Stores routinely carry code from two or three departed apps — still loading on every page, occasionally still visible to customers. If you’re swapping one app for another, cleaning out the old one is part of this task, not an extra.
How I configure it
We start from your goal, not the app’s settings page. “I want reviews showing under each product with photos” tells me what done looks like. I install the app, wire up its blocks where they belong in your theme, match the styling so it doesn’t look bolted on, and check the places apps usually break things — product page, cart, mobile.
Then you see it on the live theme preview and confirm it does what you bought it for — before anything publishes.
Honest caveat: I configure apps, I don’t bend them. If the app genuinely can’t do what you need, I’ll say so and tell you what could — whether that’s a different app or a small custom build.
How this works
The same five steps as every Storemend task
-
01
You describe the problem in plain English.
“I bought this reviews app and it won’t show up” is a complete brief.
-
02
I figure out what actually needs to change.
Diagnosing the real cause is my job, not yours — you’re never billed for your own guess being wrong.
-
03
It happens safely on a copy first.
Theme changes run on a duplicated, unpublished theme. Your live store keeps selling, untouched.
-
04
You see it before it goes live.
Preview link, your approval, then publish. Nothing ships without your eyes on it.
-
05
If it breaks, I fix it free.
Thirty days, no argument — and the handover note tells you exactly what changed and how to roll it back.
Describe the problem in plain English. I’ll figure out what actually needs to change, do it safely on a copy of your store first, show you before anything goes live, and fix it free if it breaks.
- Delivered as proposed, or made right. If work misses the proposal, I fix it free — and refund anything I can't make match.
- 30-day warranty. Defects in my delivered work, fixed free.
- One clear proposal. The price is based on project scope and agreed before work starts.
- Your live store stays untouched. All work on an unpublished theme copy — you preview and approve before anything goes live.

Beyond these tasks: I also build custom Shopify apps — my flagship work — plus integrations, redesigns, and bigger builds. See all services.
The task covers one app, configured properly. If you want two apps set up, that’s two tasks — I’d rather say that here than surprise you in chat.
