Service · bug fixes · estimated 1–2 business days
It worked yesterday. It doesn’t today. That’s a bug fix — my favorite kind of job.
A broken layout after an app install, shipping rates that vanished, a pixel gone quiet, a variant picker that died. Something changed, your store stopped behaving, and you don’t want a project — you want it back the way it was.
Scope-based proposal first — you approve and pay, then the fix happens.
What counts as a bug
If you can finish the sentence “it used to…”, it’s probably this
Bug fixes are regressions: your store did something right, and now it doesn’t. The usual triggers are an app install or uninstall, a theme update, or an innocent-looking edit. The diagnosis — finding which of those it was — is my job, not yours. You describe the symptom in plain English; you’re never billed for your own guess being wrong.
What separates a bug fix from a feature request: a fix restores behavior, a feature adds it. If your “bug” turns out to be a missing feature, I’ll say so and quote it honestly as custom work instead of letting the scope quietly grow.
Common tasks
Five bug-shaped tasks merchants ask for most
- Checkout & Shipping Settings Fix est. 1 business day
- Fix Broken Theme Layout est. 1 business day
- Analytics & Pixel Tracking Fix est. 1 business day
- Product Variants & Options Setup est. 1 business day
- Malware & Spam Script Removal est. 1 business day
If your bug matches one of these, the proposal is quick — the scope is already well understood. If it doesn’t, describe it in chat and you’ll get a scope-based proposal all the same.
How I work
Why a bug fix here can’t make things worse
The fear with bug fixes is the second bug — the one the fix causes. The protocol exists for exactly that. Full version here.
- 01I work on a copy. Your theme is duplicated; I work on the unpublished copy. Your live store doesn’t change while I work.
- 02You preview first. Preview link, your approval, then publish.
- 03Publishing by agreement. Going live is scheduled with you — nothing publishes without your sign-off.
- 04Everything’s reversible. The handover note says what changed, where, and how to undo it.
- 05Access ends with the job. Scoped collaborator access, removed when we’re done.
Describe the problem in plain English. I’ll figure out what actually needs to change, do it safely on a copy of your store first, show you before anything goes live, and fix it free if it breaks.
- Delivered as proposed, or made right. If work misses the proposal, I fix it free — and refund anything I can't make match.
- 30-day warranty. Defects in my delivered work, fixed free.
- One clear proposal. The price is based on project scope and agreed before work starts.
- Your live store stays untouched. All work on an unpublished theme copy — you preview and approve before anything goes live.
Not sure it fits? Ask in chat — I’ll tell you straight if it’s not a fit.
